Probably the worst visual aspect of the game are the visitors they literally look like crap, not to mention the fact their AI is horrific, with visitors wandering back and forth moaning about how terrible the park is, despite the nearest viewing platform being within walking distance. The environments are quite beautiful, and I think the foliage is well designed, although this can cause the framerate to drop rapidly from 60 fps to around 30 fps. The game’s graphics are actually rather impressive, despite it being released in 2003, nearly ten years ago! The dinosaur textures are mostly realistic-looking although a few of them are rather poor, I despise the original Torosaurus, Ceratosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus skins (the former looks like an emo T-Rex) but luckily there are plenty of new skins out there to replace them.

I was (and still are) a big a fan of Zoo Tycoon 2, and the idea of building a dinosaur park really appealed to me. I’ve always been a dinosaur nut, and was originally drawn into this game through its realistic dinosaur behaviour and photo-realistic graphics. The first post of the week is about one of my favourite games, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. I apologise for my lack of blog posts these last few days, I’ve been spending most of my time on Minecraft and haven’t really been interested in blogging, but hopefully my interest should grow yet again.
